Wine in Azores – Experiences and results from the azorean wine festival – Preparations for Wine in Azores 2018

This is the follow-up to one of my favorite posts ever, which might be of relevance to those planning to travel to the Azores or Portugal in 2018. The original post is about my experiences at the Wine in Azores festival in October 2017. This event has been a truly special experience, those 3 days with lovely […]

How to get to the Azores? Which airline to choose? Is it worth to make a stopover? How did i prepare for my move to the Azores?

My travel experience when moving to the Azores When I moved to the Azores I had quite a few suitcases with me (I was travelling with my parents, because I wanted to show them my new home). At this stage the choices to travel from Budapest to Ponta Delgada were somewhat limited. So I ended […]

A trip to the land of Azorean Mini-Santas / Event recommendation for visitors in december

During my first year living at the Azores I realized that the good people inhabiting these islands use every opportunity to celebrate. With Christmas approaching there are more and more enjoyable events to attend for both my family and myself. One of these events was the march of preschool and elementary school aged children dressed […]

Wine in Azores 2017 Gastronomy Festival Review and Recommendation for Azores Visitors in October

This post is one of my favourites on the blog. According to my first university degree I am a Food Safety Quality Engineer, which means I am very curious and interested about everything concerning food quality. I also used to work as a quality engineer in this field, with the main areas of focus being […]

Zoom meeting today has been quite useful, we got to know some important things that were new to us, thanks a lot!

— Andrea

Rita turned our honeymoon into the most wonderful trip, she made us see so many fantastic things that we would certainly not have been able to see if we had gone alone. She has a huge knowledge in her head, she always knows how to fit the programme to the needs, she is very attentive to everyone. Many people think that 4-5 days is enough for São Miguel, but Rita knows so many wonderful little nooks and corners on the island that we wouldn't have been bored for even 2 weeks with her. Thank you so much for everything!
